Presentations at "Michiana Facilities Maintenance & Building Expo" at Century Center - Downtown South Bend, IN - There are a plethora of new roofing products, new marketing schemes to avoid, design altering building code changes, and even changes in the way some roof systems are installed. The session provided unbiased information on these changes from one who encounters roof problems every day. The presentation included best maintenance practices, information about new materials, suggestions on working with contractors, manufactures, and design professionals to maximize exterior envelope life-cycle. Also, how to response to roof failures in lean times. Architect's comment after the seminar "I didn't realize that the new energy code would result in so many challenges in re-roof design".
